ABSTRACT:
Anxiety is a general feeling of apprehension about the possible danger. Interestingly a bit of it improve performance but an increased amount always leads to under performance, and if it continues for a longer period it leads to various physical and mental diseases. A number of therapies has been used to treat anxiety i.e behavior therapy, psychotherapy, autogenic training etc. In the present study “Non Verbal Expressive Therapy” has been used for treating trait anxiety in nursing students. Purpose: The purpose of the study is to evaluate the effectiveness of “Non Verbal Expressive Therapy” on trait anxiety level and to prevent anxiety disorders among student nurses. METHODOLOGY: Research Approach and Research Design Evaluative approach and Experimental design was used to conduct the study. R O1 x O2 R O1 O2 Independent variables were age, family income, type of course, year of class, type of family, and “Non Verbal Expressive Therapy”. Dependent variables were trait anxiety levels.
