Structured questioonaire and the likert scale was administered to assess the knowledge and attitude of the adolescent. Result: The study shows that out of 90 samples most of the adolescents 59(65.6%) belongs to age group 22-25 years of age. 63(70%) are males sample in the study, 56(62.2%) are graduate, 58(64.4%) reveals that they are having previous knowledge regarding health hazzard of PUBG, 48(53.3%) get the information regarding PUBG from social group. A structured questionnaire and likert scale was administered to the samples an dthe results shows that majority of the participants 71(78.9%) had average knowledge, 16(17.8%) had poor knowledge, 3(3.3%) had good knowledge regarding health hazzard of PUBG. 84(93.3%) adolescent showa positive attitude while 6(6.7%) of samples show negative attitude. The chi square with Yates correction depicts that only source of information is significantly associated with the knowledge regarding health hazzard of PUBG. Conclusion: The study concluded that the PUBG game had a impact on health that affects the physical and psychological status of the adolescents who are indulging themselves in the gamig. Findings of the study suggest that there should be health awareness programmes in the school and collegses, regarding the effect of online gaming on the health of the adolescent, so that it can be prevented.

3.     Assess the attitude regarding health hazard of using PUBG game among adolescent.

4.     Determine the association between the knowledge regarding health hazard pf using PUBG game among adolescent with their selected socio demographic variable.

HYPOTHESIS:

The study aim to test the hypothesis at p<0.05 level of significance.

H1    There is a significant association between nowledge regrding health hazzard of using PUBG game among adolescent with their selected socio demographic variables.

REVIEW OF LITERATURE:

Sidra Shoaib (June 2020) conducted a quantitative study on “Impact of PUBG game addiction on social isolation and narcissistic tendencies among gamers”. RESEARCH METHODOLOGY:

Research Approach:

The investigator adopted Quantitative approach for the study. It is a approach that is formal, objective nad systematic process used to describe the variables.

Research Design:

Based on the objective of the study, descriptive research design was adopted for the study. The design aims to accurately and systematically describe a ppopulation, situation or phenomenon.

INSTRUMENT:

The tool was divided into three parts to assess the, demographic variable, knowledge and attitude level regarding health hazard of PUBG game among adolescent.

1.     Demographic data

2.     Self structured inventory (knowledge related questionnaire regarding physical and psychological hazards)

3.     Self structred attitude scale (likert scale) regarding PUBG game.

SAMPLING METHOD:

The sample slection approach used was the non probability purposive sampling techniques was found most appropriate for the study.

Significant association was evaluated when the calculated value is greater than the tabulated value at p>0.05 so we accept the research hypothesis. The association between the knowledge score with selected demographic variables like age, gender, educational qualification, previous knowledge and source of information. The chi square with yates correction test was used to find the association. The result finding exhibit that one variable i.e.source of information at 0.005 level of significance had statistical significant association with the knowledge score.

CONCLUSION:

The study concluded that the majority of the participants are addicted to the game PUBG, most of the participanat are having average knowledge regarding the heatlh hazzards due to PUBG game. It is also concluded that although technology makes the human life easy but its overuse is always danger. So it is important to implement certain intervention to increase the awareness of teenagers about the risk of physical and mental health hazards associated with overuse and its impact in the life.

RECOMMENDATION:

Based on the findings of the study, the following recommendation are made:

·       The study could be replicated in other parts of the nation with large samples and different criteria like in school going children, in certain schools etc.

·       An experimental design can also be replicated by using other variables.

·       A comparative study can be done among professionals and non professional students regarding health hazard of PUBG.

LIMITATION:

The limitation of the study were:

1.     The study was only limited to adolesence.

2.     The study was limited to the colleges of the Uttarakhand.
